10/97-6/98 Researcher-in-Residence - Developed and implemented a residency
program to research the history of the district's existing schools; brought
primary resources into the classroom to work with 28 eighth graders to publish
the Peabody School History Project on the district's web site. Additionally,
each school principal received a written report on the history of their school
to which they can add the future history of the school. The project culminated
with the unveiling of the web site at a history fair held in the school's
computer labs. Visit

3/98 Presenter - "Mary Upton Ferrin, Peabody's First Suffragist". Presented
to 500 sixth graders on the 188th anniversary of Ferrin's birth, with funding
from the Peabody Education Council. Successfully solicited the support of the
Warren Five Savings Bank to provide the school with thirty copies of a brief
biography on Ferrin and of Eastman Gelatine Corporation to provide birthday cake
for the class.
2/95 Researcher-in-Residence - An interdisciplinary unit on the Industrial
Revolution presented to eighth grade students involved in producing nineteenth
century newspapers. Funded by the Peabody Education Council.
3/92 Presenter - History of the early Massachusetts women's movement to
400 seventh graders. Funded by the Peabody Education Council.
3/91 Presenter - History of Peabody's first Suffragist to 800 fourth
graders, through funding made possible by the Peabody Education Council and the
corporate support of Gordon Realty.

8/03 - Presenter - to commemorate the 150th anniversary
of the laying of the cornerstone of the Peabody Institute. "E-z-ine from
the Present to Future Generations", a power point presentation utilizing the
1853 narrative of "Epistle from the Present to Future Generations" by Fitch
Poole, Jr., to capture an electronic magazine of the Institute and
community in 2003.
2/99 Lecturer –on local writer Fitch Poole, Jr., with funding from the
Peabody Cultural Council
4/98 Researcher - Designed and implemented a program to create a Finding
List of the un-catalogued items within the local history collection of the Eben
Dale Sutton Reference Room. It includes a chapter on "The Life and Times of

1990 -Present President/Collaboration Coordinator - Facilitated six
successful grant proposals for, and annual block bookings of, Actors
Theatre of Maine to perform classic literature as live interactive theatre
in nine Peabody elementary schools, 3000 students.
4/94 Facilitated the joint booking of the interactive drama "Cry Innocent:
The Trial of Bridget Bishop", as funded by the Peabody Education Council, for
the Higgins Middle School and Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
1991-2001 Organizer of annual month-long Women's History Month observances
in Peabody, including the annual publication of a free bookmark honoring a
significant woman in local history.
9/92 Organizer of ceremony and placement of granite commemorative markers
at Crystal Lake, a Peabody conservation area, honoring witch hysteria victims
Martha and Giles Corey during the observance of the Witch Tercentennary.
Presented history of Martha Corey.
10/91 Organizer of a suffragist contingent to march in Peabody's Jubilee
Parade in memory of women in city's past.
