CIVIL WAR ENCAMPMENT in the Library Courtyard
ALL 8th GRADE CLUSTERS WILL VISIT
Civil War Re-enactors Stanley & Linda Tremblay

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Peabody Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
The Tremblays have participated in several Civil War encampments.  Stan portrays a  soldier in the Massachusetts 19th Regiment.  In particular, he focuses on Peabody soldier Moses Shackley, Jr.  Linda represents the women volunteers that supported the troops, such as the women in Peabody's Ladies Soldiers' Aid Society.
Learn more about Moses Shackley, Jr.
and the local Ladies Soldier's Aid Society.

On April 24, the Pegasus cluster will attend a follow-up session in the Cullen Library with Stan Tremblay and Media Specialist S.M. Smoller.  Funding provided by the Peabody Education Council.
