The Higgins Middle School
has adopted the FISH philosophy.

 

Project:  A three page research paper on local involvement in the American Revolutionary War (Peabody/Danvers, Salem and Marblehead)

Requirements

- Title page
NEW Microsoft Template: Research Paper in MLA Format

- Outline
NEW Microsoft Template: Outline

- 3 typed text pages (double spaced, font size 11) in your own words

- Introduction to your subject with a thesis statement presenting the "point" which your paper will develop and support

- Support paragraphs with parenthetical references giving credit to your sources for the information presented

- A minimum of 3 sources required - one book, one internet site, and one other source (Example 3rd source - a periodical, a newspaper article, pamphlet, letter, speech, etc.)

- A works cited page documenting your sources
