Although this article is electronically reproduced on the library's website, Ms. Smoller located "Old Meetinghouses" when reading the Danvers Courier newspaper on microfilm housed at the Danvers Archives in the Peabody Institute, Danvers.

The Danvers Courier was a weekly newspaper published on Central Street in the southern village of Danvers (now Peabody Square) from 1845-1849.  It was printed by the Courier Press.

George R. Carlton was the publisher of the Danvers Courier.

Fitch Poole, Jr. was an editor of the Danvers Courier.
