HOW SCHOOLPOP WORKS

The Higgins Middle School
has adopted the FISH philosophy.

 

Assignment:
1.  You will be creating, with a partner, a children's book.  The book should be appropriate for first or second graders (6-8 yr. old). 
2.  Choose a country of your choice to research.  The country must be in one of the regions of the world we have already studies (Latin America or Asia or Europe). 
3.  The book should include things such as the country's: topography, climate, economy, industry, people, culture, etc.  It should be at least 16 pages; however, no more than 22 pages, and include a cover. 
4.  Be imaginative!  be colorful! be creative! and have fun! But, remember, this book must be age appropriate. 
5.  You may create your book by hand or by word processor.  Illustrations are a must! 
6.  This project will be worth 100 points, or 2 test grades.
