| TOOLS 1. You will be creating, alone or with a partner, a child's book. The book should be appropriate for first and second graders (6-8 years old). 2. Choose a country of your choice to research. The country must be in one of the regions of the world we have already studied (Asia or Europe). 3. The book should include such things as the country's topography, climate, economy, foods, industry, people, clothing, culture, etc. It should be at least 16 pages, but no more than 22 pages, and that does not include the cover. 4. Be imaginative. Be colorful. Be creative and have fun! But remember, be accurate on your facts too! Also remember to be age appropriate with the language and illustrations. 5. You may create your book
by hand or by word processor. Illustrations are a must! 7. Class time will be allowed for the project, but not a lot, make sure you make arrangements outside of school to work, or make arrangements to stay after school. Library research dates: 1/26 and 2/5. ATTENTION SHARKS - When you open some of the links below, you may encounter pop-up windows. You should X them out - do not follow any of the links suggested on a pop up window.
